With Jon working out of Arizona the last couple of years and traveling quite a bit, we've had many discussions about whether we need to move our family out there. It is a really tough decision because we really really love Iowa and so many things about our life in Iowa. When discussing one night we deciding that maybe we just needed to get the whole family our there for a few days to get a feel for what life in Arizona would even look like. We booked a vrbo, we booked flights, and a short time later we pulled the kids out of school and flew to phoenix. It was probably the most spontaneous we have ever been, haha. The vrbo we stayed in was super nice and also had a pool and hot tub, (so honestly I'm not sure if it gave us a very realistic picture). We went on a couple of hikes while down there, met up with our friends Justin and Alissa and their family a couple of times, and went and saw Scott and Allison as well. It was a fun trip and even though we weren't able to get a super clear answer, we did both feel that we didn't need to rush the decision after the trip- so maybe not the answer we were looking for but an answer :)
