Building our House: start to finish!

When Jon and I first threw around the idea of building a home, neither of us thought we were very serious.  As we began to meet with builders and have meeting and discuss floorplans, we still didn't.  I think we both thought in the back of our minds that this was just something we were finding out more about, but we'd never actually do it.  Well, the further we went down the path, the more we came to realize that we weren't finding any other house we wanted to buy and we needed to make a decision fast so we would have a place to live!  So, totally out of character for both of us, we had faith it would work out and we went completely outside our comfort zone and did something totally new for both of us.  There were a lot of growing pains, learning experiences, frustrations, questioning whether we did the right thing, and more along the way, but I am so happy we did it!  We LOVE our new house!  It is so nice to have things just how you want them! The space creates peace rather than and anxieties or frustrations and I love that!  Obviously, if we had tons more money and time, we may have done things a bit differently or added a few things, but overall we are very happy and feel very blessed!
