Day 7 we went to Daytona Beach and had some fun at the ocean! Again, it was a bit chilly- mostly because it was quite windy- but we still had a fun couple of hours there! There were some fun, shallow tide pools the kids had a lot of fun playing in. They also enjoyed jumping in the waves, collecting shells, and digging in the sand.
That night we went back to the TREX restaurant and had a fun time. The kids all thought it was pretty cool and they even brought Zach out a belated birthday dessert and sang to him. He thought that was pretty great!
Day 8 was check out of the VRBO and head to the airport day. We had some time to kill so we stopped at a park and then went to Texas Roadhouse with the kids. It was fun introducing the kids to the famous rolls for the first time! The flight home went pretty smoothly, although Zach started not feeling too good on the way home. Turns out he was coming down with Strep Throat but thankfully the worst of it all waited until our fun vacation was over and we were at home!
