Family Vacation 2022: Orland, Florida- Part 2 VRBO and Sea World

Day 4 of our vacation was a LAY LOW day.  WE checked out of Disney and checked into our VRBO and spent the day relaxing and swimming in the pool. Colton also wasn't feeling his best so he spent a lot of time just watching shows.  This also happened to be Zach's birthday so we had some celebrations to take care of.  We went to Disney Springs to go to the T-Rex restaurant for dinner and after waiting in line for 20 min to be checked in Zach fessed up (sadly) that he didn't really want to be there and only said he wanted to eat there to make the others happy but all he really wanted for his birthday was Taco Bell.  SO we left and drove through an hour long traffic jam just to go to a Taco Bell 5 min away from our VRBO but it made Zach happy so that's what counts.  He requested pumpkin pie for dinner and we had a few presents to open that we'd brought along with us so we did that afterwards and went back for some night swimming at the pool.  Overall a pretty fun day!

Day 5 was Sea World Day!  We had an all day dining pass at Sea World so meals throughout the day were at various restaurants throughout the park.    They were decent but I wish they'd been better for the cost!  Highlights for the day were the animal shows, Dolphin, Sea Otter and Sea Lion, and Orcas.  They were all great and the kids loved them!  There were less family rides at sea world but we still found a few.  We went on Journey to Atlantis a couple of times- Madi and Colton again did not like getting wet, and a Big Tube ride down a river which was a ton of fun but we got soaked- Madi basically cried the whole time but it was pretty cute/funny.  Jon took Katie on the Kracken and she thought it was way too scary.  Colton was the only other kid tall enough but he absolutely refused.  Zach kept saying he wanted to go and was mad he couldn't but my guess is that he would have thought it pretty scary too.  We went to the kids area and rode some kids roller coasters, but they seemed more tailored for toddlers than older kids.  I took Katie on another big ride but this one didn't go upside down and she handled it a bit better than the Kracken.    I was a bit nervous taking her on bigger rides, to be honest!  I made them triple check her seat belt before we took off!  We saw penguins and the kids pet sting rays and Madi loved seeing a "real" mermaid!  The also all loved the tunnel of sharks!   At the Orca Show we had pretty good seats.   Colton sat a few rows behind us because he didn't want to chance getting wet but Katie and Zach ran up the isle when the whales started splashing and got wet on purpose!

Day 6 was another VRBO pool and souvenir shopping day.
