Halloween 2021

Halloween came with lots of fun this year, as usual.  The kids were all super excited that the Ward and School Trunk or Treats weren’t cancelled again this year because of Covid.  They were really looking forward to 3 different trick or treating nights of fun and, although I was not, I was prepared for them!  Unfortunately we ended up being sick during the ward trunk or treat and missed that one but we still managed to have lots of Halloween fun!  Katie was invited to her first friend Halloween party and had a blast.  The kids all invited friends over for sugar cookie decorating.  We all went to the school Trunk or Treat and went trick or treating around our Neighborhood on the 30th (because Iowa is weird).  We got WAY more candy than we could ever need and I even had a bunch of leftover handout candy since we didn’t end up going to the Ward thing.  It was a bit much.

Colton went as Blue the velociraptor from Jurassic World.  His costume was way too big but it was the only one I could find so I had to use about a billion safety pins to make it fit him.  I guess, on the bright side, if he still wants to be Blue for Halloween, we have a costume that will fit him for the next 6 years (at least!)

Katie went as A from the movies Zombies 2.  It was something she really wanted to be last year and I got the costume on clearance and she waited the whole year to get to be it.  I could tell she felt very cool and grown up :)  She wanted to be something different for her Halloween party though so she went as a witch.

Zach went as the Iron Spider.  No surprise there, he loves Spider-Man.

Madi went as Sofia the first and was super cute all night.  She loved trick or treating and held up longer than I expected.

Zach and Katie were my final two hold outs going around after Colton and Madi bailed and stayed home with dad.  They weather was chilly but not too bad.  Overall a great Halloween!
