Madi is 4 years old!! Her birthday fell on a Saturday this year so we enjoyed spending family time together throughout the day. Madi had been really wanting to go to the park at Northeast so I took the kids there in the morning. We had an early birthday dinner family celebration for Madi because mom and dad had tickets from Christmas time to a Steve Martin/Martin Short show in Des Moines. We had a cookie cake with princesses and chik-fil-A nuggets- although Madi's TRUE favorite is ramen noodles. Afterwards we opened gifts and Madi enjoyed her new puzzles, nightgowns, stuffies, toys, and the Pocahantus dress up dress she'd been asking for for awhile.We also surprised the kids and got a new trampoline for the family so Madi was really excited about that "gift".
The next weekend we had a birthday party for Madi at our house. We invited some friends over for a princess dress up party and we played games and decorated crowns and went on a princess treasure hunt! It was super cute and lots of fun! 4 is such a fun age!
Madi is the best kiddos to have around. She is spunky, determined, hilarious, creative, incredibly smart, kind, and friendly. She is also stubborn and fiery and tells it like it is. She keeps us on our toes! She tells me every day how beautiful I am and that I'm the best mom ever! She literally makes me laugh out loud every single day. She is always saying the most ridiculous things and says them to anyone and everyone. She loves to talk and loves to make new friends. She loves makeup and dressing up, playing pretend, and playing outside. To know Madi is to love her! She is the best little caboose to our family!
