Thanksgiving Weekend

 This was the first year we did Thanksgiving on our own and it was a bit weird, but we still had a good time.  

Wednesday before Thanksgiving the kids elementary school had rented out a theater at B&B to watch Moana 2 so we took the kids to that in the morning.   It was fun to all go together!

We went more simple and just cooked a turkey breast instead of the full turkey and I gotta say- I didn't hate it.  We still made lots of sides and had some rolls, pies, and ice cream as well, it was just quieter and simpler :).  We hung out, rested, and watched football the rest of the day.  

On Friday, we went to visit Santa at Bass Pro in Altoona, per our tradition, then went to Burger King to eat as a family.  We ate inside and the entire place was empty, except for us, so it made for kind of a fun little eat out experience.  Next we went to go see Wicked at Cinemark in Altoona as a family.  We got snacks and popcorn and it was a pretty good movie!  Madi didn't know then story of The Wizard of Oz well enough to know that the Wicked Witch eventually dies so as soon as she realized that, she was a bit upset for the first hour of the movie.  I think she got over it and ended up enjoying it well enough though.  We were all pleasantly surprised with the movie and had a good time as a family!

Saturday we spent the day cleaning and decorating for Christmas!
